High quality experiences are at the heart of Teasel Nursery School-on-the-Marina.
Uniquely, we offer a home-from-home environment with high quality on-site multi-sensory and ecological experiences and resources, encouraging our children to problem-solve, become independent, take risks, build relationships and interact. In addition to our indoor play space and experiences, we offer:
Regular experiences within the local nature reserve and surrounding woodlands.
We believe outdoor play makes happier and healthier children and at Teasel, we're blessed to have the beautiful marina and woodlands on our doorstep!
Because of our unique location, every day, no matter the weather, children experience an array of activities to spark their imagination in natural play spaces.
Depending on the day, children can take part in bike riding through trees, singing in the forest, feeding the resident swans and ducks, bear hunt, messy play and splashing in muddy puddles, nature walks, teddy bears' picnics, playing hide and seek in secret places and more!
Days out to the local library for story, song and rhyme time or trips out within the local community.
Regular expertise of local artisans such as our in house artist-in-residence and a visiting horticulturalist and visits to the nearby horse farrier to observe hoof care.
Our culinary creator and in house cook prepares all our meals on site, creating fresh, healthy food and snacks each day to suit childrens' individual dietary requirements and the chance for children to get involved in cooking and preparing food. Therefore, our mealtimes are another opportunity for sensory experimentation with tastes and flavours.
Our menu is regularly rotated with balanced and healthy seasonal options so children can experiment with a variety of meals.
